'Kids in the Kitchen' Chanukah Special

Saturday 12 December at 5pm (after Shabbat)

For children aged 8-14 with help from a fun adult

We all love the Talmudic tale of the miracle of the oil, but eating vast quantities of greasy food for 8 days is pretty tough on the digestion. Instead, we're adding nutrition and going easy on the grease to create even tastier versions of the Chanukah treats you love.

This workshop is designed to be free of gluten and refined sugar, but you can put them in if you prefer. One of the recipes contains nuts, but let me know if your child has an allergy, and we'll adapt.

On the menu:

  • Lighter Latkes
  • Baked doughnuts with a choice of fillings
  • Apple and mango cake made with olive oil
  • Edible chanukiyah
